Our coarse spelt meal is a whole grain. During production, the spelt kernels, which are cleaned and dehulled beforehand, are coarsely crushed ("sliced") by the roller mill. Spelt meal is often used in bread / small baked goods to keep the products fresh. However, it is usually still boiled or subject to thermal treatment.
