Flax seed is the name given to the seeds of flax. A food source with a naturally high fibre content as well as plant-based omega-3 fatty acids, they therefore make a valuable contribution to a balanced, fibre-rich diet and can be used in many ways. Around three tablespoons of crushed linseed (30 g) cover roughly 30 % of a person’s daily fibre requirement.
