Oat bran is a food with a naturally high fibre content and plant-based oat beta-glucan. Oat beta-glucan is a natural, soluble fibre, which is mainly found in the outer layers of the oat grain. A daily intake of just 3 g of oat beta-glucan helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. Just 20 g of oat bran per day (corresponding to around one gram of oat beta-glucan) can contribute to a cholesterol-conscious diet. When consuming oat bran, please be sure to have a significantly higher intake of liquid. Maintaining a varied and balanced diet is very important, as is a healthy lifestyle.
Our oat bran makes a valuable contribution to your balanced, fibre-rich diet and can be used in a variety of ways. It is well very suited for refining porridge and muesli and for use as a refining ingredient during cooking and baking.
Our oat bran received the DLG gold award in 2022.
