Zutaten
  • 400 g SchapfenMühle wholemeal emmer flour 
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 sachet vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp speculoos spice or cinnamon
  • 1 knife point clove and cardamom powder
  • 300 g butter, cold

Decor

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 100 g flaked almonds
Preparation

Quickly knead a shortcrust pastry from the dough ingredients, wrap in cling film and leave to rest in the fridge for about 1 hour.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3 mm. Cut out shapes and place on the baking tray lined with baking paper.

For the decoration, whisk the egg yolk with the milk and brush the biscuits with it. Sprinkle the flaked almonds on top.

Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat.

Bake in the oven on the second shelf from the bottom for approx. 10 minutes.

Note: Every oven is different. Please adjust the individually required baking time and temperature accordingly if necessary.
