Our puffed durum is made from polished durum wheat kernels and enlarged to many times its original size in a special process – puffing technology – using pressure and steam. Every grain retains its original shape, but its texture changes, allowing for even more diverse uses. The puffed durum wheat is then coated with a layer of sugar, during the so-called "coating" process, which gives it a sweet taste.
